The DNR no longer bug trail stickers. OHM, OHV and ATV'southward are required to be registered with thestate in order to ride the trails. OHV'southward legally registered in another state or country, and non in Minnesota for more than xxx days, are NOT required to purchase a Minnesota Registration. If your land does not require a registration, y'all will need a Minnesota Registration or a non-resident OHV country trail pass.

Register your new off-highway vehicle (OHM, OHV, ATV):
  • In person at any Deputy Registrar of Motor Vehicles (where you license your machine) or at the DNR License Bureau in St Paul, 500 Lafayette Road.
Renew your off-highway vehicle registration:
  • In person at any Deputy Registrar of Motor Vehicles (where you license your car) or at the DNR License Bureau in St Paul, 500 Lafayette Road.
  • Online using the online licensing system
  • If you are the registered owner a person may renew for you if they have the DNR generated renewal notice or, they must provide a Consent to Renew Registration grade or show proof of being Power of Attorney

Purchase a non-resident OHV state trail laissez passer:
  • Online 24 hours a day. An additional iii% plus $i.65 service fee will be added. Online license sales.
  • By telephone 24 hours a twenty-four hour period. An additional $iii.l convenience fee will be added per transaction. 888-665-4236.
  • In person at the Game and Fish License Agents and Deputy Registrar offices. Go to the DNR spider web site to find agent office locations.
